IDS was founded by law enforcement officers who deal with the tragic consequences of automobile collisions on a daily basis.
The Institute has two programs of instruction for the begining driver.
Classroom includes a complete review of Title 28, an in depth discussion of car control, collision avoidance and defensive driving techniques, habits and defensive attitude necessary for safety on our roads today.
The Behind the Wheel experience. Home pick-up and drop-off are included. Part of the curriculum includes: Safety, Awarness, Parallel Parking, 3-point Turns, Uncontrolled Intersections,4-way Stops, Downtown Driving, One Way Roads,Airport Driving, Roads with S-turns, All of Phx. Major Freeways, Merging in/out of Traffic,Scanning, Smooth Breaking-Limo Stops,Mirror usage/visability, Right on Red, Signal/Mirror/Sholder/Go,Left on Red, Mall Parking, Backing, Speed not to Impede,Complete Stops, Hand Position, and so much more
Our instructors are current or former law enforcement officers with car control and collision avoidance technique training. These officers are highly qualified with experience far beyond that required by the Department of Transportation.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARENTS
Once you have signed up your teen for one of our Programs, we will do the utmost to accommodate you in selecting the drive times.
You must be careful in choosing these drives as our Re-Scheduling Policy is strict and necessary!
WHY???
The 200+ Drives a week are scheduled in advance. Our requirement is if you must Re-Schedule a drive it MUST be done 48 hour prior to the drive time or you will be charged a $50.00 re-scheduling fee.
